Haryana Tirath Darshan Scheme 2017: Ram Bilas Sharma, minister Haryana tourism department have launched ‘Tirath darshan Scheme’. Under the scheme citizens with age more than 60yrs will be benefited by the scheme. Beneficiaries will be taken to some of the ‘Tirath’ destinations by the state government. The complete cost of the tour for the BPL category candidate and 70% of the tour’s cost for the candidates belonging to the non-BPL category will be bear by the state government.
Senior citizen belonging to any of the religion can avail the benefit of the scheme. Beneficiary will have to submit the application form in the district tahsils office, deputy commissioner, and sub-divisional magistrate’s office. Once the total number of applications crosses the number of seats available in the district, then screening of the applications will be done by the concerned officials.
‘Tirth Yatras’ are the most precious and holy tour in one’s life. When one get free from our day to day responsibilities we get devoted to god. Every religion has its own importance of this pilgrim’s journey. India being land of religions and diverse culture has diversity in its Tirath Places also.
According to ancient books and scriptures, there are some ancient places where god lives itself and these places have their own importance in one’s life and religion. Every senior citizen of india always has a wish of pilgrim’s tour in his life. Most of the people belonging to the weaker section of the society never make it to pilgrim places in their life due lack of capital or financial support. Haryana governments this scheme will prove to be a boon for these people.
